M.C.R.H. 740

The M.C.R.H. 740 is designed to extract marble and other stone in open cast quarries and it can make vertical and horizontal cuts.  Maximum depth of vertical ctu is 7,40 mts.
This machine is made up of an oil bath gear unit that makes it possible to rotate the cutting blade through 360°.  This unit is mounted on a carriage that uses a wheel and bearing system to move along a sturdy track made up in 3 sections for a total length of 12 metres.  These can be repositioned in front of one another to allow the M.C.R.H. 740 to make long cuts without having to stop.
Four stabiliser cylinders are located at the corners of the sliding block that allow the machine to be levelled quickly and that make it possible to move the track without the help of lifting equipment.
This chainsaw has a hydraulic system that is able to ensure maximum reliability, due to the fact that it allows the chain speed to be varied, power adjustment using maximum pressure valves in the hydraulic system, a cutting speed adjustment to suit the hardness of the stone being cut, and fast movement for moving the machine around when it is not cutting.
The hydraulic oil is cooled by means of an „“oil / air““ heat exchanger.
The arm and chain are lubricated by a multi-line grease pump.
The chain is made of specially treated steel and is made up of symmetrical pieces that are easy to assemble.  Hard metal or PCD inserts can be used for the chain to suit the type of stone to be cut.
A hydraulic cylinder is used to tension the chain on the M.C.R.H. 740.
The arm is also made of special high-strength steel, while the chain guides are made up of special treated steel and are interchangeable.
The M.C.R.H. 740 has a pushbutton panel that contains all the machine’s controls, allowing the operator to work more freely and to stay a safe distance from the rock face.
The M.C.R.H. 740 is lifted by a specific structure attached to the carriage that makes it possible to move it in complete safety, with the arm in any position.

TALPA 200

TALPA 200 has been developed for cutting limestone and soft stones in underground quarries. It can cut horizontally and vertically up to 2 m deep.

The machine can carry out a series of horizontal cuts starting from ground level to a maximum height of 3.70/4 m (this can vary according to customers’ requirements), and a series of vertical cuts with a maximum distance between the two extremities of 4.30 m, maintaining  a single cutting position. This allows the execution of perfectly perpendicular cuts without errors due to repeated changes in the cutting positions.

The height of the tunnel and the depth of the cut are interdependent:  it is indeed crucial to be able to carry out a rotation of the head unit and its related arm inside the tunnel, in order to be able to position the machine and cut both horizontally and vertically.

Talpa 200 is characterised by a robust structure: on its lower platform there are the hydraulic operative unit, a motor-pump unit, the electrical panel board and other commands.

Connected to the vertical columns, a horizontal rail, by means of a motor-transformer, sets in motion the trolley on which the head unit is positioned, this latter made up of a series of lubricated mechanisms which can rotate the arm at 360 degrees.

A slewing ring is situated between the trolley and the head unit, which allows the whole head unit to rotate at 360 degrees. This enables the operator to position the arm horizontally in order to carry out cuts on the roof, as well as cuts at ground level and/or any intermediate cuts; or vertically, to execute any desired cuts with a maximum extension between the two extremities of 4.30 m,  without having to move the machine at all.

Two metric wheels and two neutrals are located under the base of the Talpa 200: they allow the machine to move on the quarry floor without any need for lifting it by mechanical means.

Four stabilisers are situated on the platform, to stabilise the machine level with the ground: another two can be found at the top of the vertical columns, making it easy for the machine to be anchored to the tunnel roof.

TALPA 200 makes use of a hydraulic system consisting of a pump with variable cylinder capacity, which allows to change the turns of the chain, whilst another variable pump  feeds all other movements.

The working movements have hydraulically changeable speed and are all protected by high pressure valves.

A powerful air/oil exchanger starts working automatically and guarantees the correct cooling of the hydraulic oil.

Talpa 200 is supplied with remote control device which activates all the machine’s movements, allowing the user to work with greater freedom and at a safe distance.

The machine can respectively work with:

  1. Wolfram carbide plate “Widia”(dry or water usage)

1a. Type with four cutting blades (on request)

1b. Type with eight cutting blades (standard)

  1. “Stratapax” polycrystalline diamond inserts

M.C.R.H. 240

This is designed for extracting marble, sandstone, and travertine in open cast quarries.

This machine can make both vertical and horizontal cuts to a maximum depth of 2 metres.
The chain used for cutting can be fitted with hard metal or PCD cutting tools, to suit the various types of stone.
The M.C.R.H. 240 is made up of a sliding block (carriage) on a single track 5 metres long, with 4 hydraulic stabilisers at the four corners of the track that are used to level the machine on the quarry floor.
A specific feature that distinguishes this machine from other machines is that it has a device under the carriage that allows the M.C.R.H. 240 to move the track automatically, without the help of lifting equipment.
A set of gears is fitted on the sliding block that has an arm and chain for cutting, and this can be rotated through 360°.
Two different types of chains and arms that have been developed based on our 30 years experience can be fitted on the M.C.R.H. 240, making it possible to cut materials ranging from travertine to marble.
The machine uses a hydraulic system that is able to ensure optimum performance, while providing maximum safety and reliability.
The hydraulic pump that drives the chain has a variable flow rate and allows the chain speed to be chosen based on the hardness of the stone.
The oil in the M.C.R.H. 240 is cooled using an air / oil heat exchanger, which means that the machine can also be used at high temperatures.
The M.C.R.H. 240 has a pushbutton panel that contains all the machine’s controls, allowing the operator to work more freely and to stay a safe distance from the rock face.
This machine is very popular due to its flexibility and ease of use.
