EDILUX: the detail that makes the difference
Automatic mutli-spindle belt edge polishing machines, manufactured according to the up-to-date concepts and structural principles,
they are remarkable for their performance and production on every kind of material. On materials used in the building field, furnishings
and monuments they can carry out at the same time: gauging/calibration, straight edge polishing, bevels, lower and upper grooves.

Possibility of polishing the edge without the contrast bar, due to the special sliding system of the conveyor belt (a set of idle rollers is under the belt,
guiding it in its proper grooves. In this way, the sliding friction becomes rolling frictions) and the slab locking – by pneumatic pistons.
Water is delivered from the center of every spindle for straight edge.
Each spindle is Independent.
Possibility of polishing straight edges on slab of different thickness and size, one after the other.

Profiling m/c using diamond wire to cut marble, granite and other ornamental stones, using a 4-axis numerical control system.
The m/c structure is extremely rigid, and all mobile m/c parts travel on chromed and ground columns or on machined and heat-treated guides, all protected by bellows to maintain high cutting precision in time The steel structure is protected by anti-corrosion paint, and the flywheel covers are in fiberglass.
The profile to be cut can be memorized easily, even by personnel with lower computer knowledge using our Robot-Draw2D program. This program has the following operating systems:
– direct programming on the m/c control panel or on an external PC using a keyboard and mouse
– conversion of DXF/DWG files , created by AutoCad programs
M/c travel over X and Y axes is obtained thanks to brushless motors, operating under computer control – which co-ordinates the m/c movements, just for stone profiling.
A similar system controls the two pairs of guides wheels.
The linear speed of the diamond wire can be varied – from 0 to 40 m/sec – depending on stone hardness, under the control of an inverter. The cutting speed is between 0 and 999 cm/h, and reduces, automatically, in the presence of corners in the profile. This helps to ensure that surfaces are smooth and can be easily polished.

The diamond wire is tensioned using an “open circuit” by a hydraulic system; the wire tension can be adjusted from 0 to 800 kg, so both normal and spliced wires can be used.
